“I Woke Up Today…”

I woke up today

alone…

and cold…

So very, very cold was I.

Buried, it seemed, beneath a mountain of snow

so heavy…

and cold…

So very, very cold was I.

I dug my toes into the earth, seeking warmth

and comfort…

from the cold…

So very, very cold was I.

The Mother welcomed me, holding me close

and protected me…

from the cold…

So very, very cold was I.

So I burrowed deeper, into Her embrace

seeking warmth…

for I was cold…

So very, very cold was I.

And deep within my Mother’s womb, I found Her fiery heart

I knew that I was loved…

and I felt warmed…

So very, very warm was I.

Joy filled my being, lifting my spirit

and I soared…

for I was warm…

So very, very warm was I.

I rode that wave of euphoria all the way to the surface

burst through the drifts of snow…

fueled by Her warmth…

So very, very warm was I.

And there I met my Father, the Sun

who shined His grace on me…

and I was warmer still…

So very, very warm was I.

So I smiled, and blossomed, shivering slightly in the unfamiliar breeze

and people shook their heads at me…

a lone flower growing in the snow…

But I didn’t care what they thought of me.

For I was happy being Me

alive and free…

and loved…

Perfect in this moment, true beauty revealed…

A dream come true!

I woke today…

bringing thoughts of Spring to All of you.

In my meditation this morning, I felt the earliest seeds awakening, so I thought I’d share this hope of spring, and the joy and blessings it promises to bring…

And now I must go shovel out from under 2 feet of snow, so that I may return to work tomorrow… lol!

Mother, grant me strength and endurance throughout this day…  Please and thanks!  🙂
